SALT
Submitted by admin on Sat, 08/21/2010 - 17:14Hey, folks. Sorry that it has taken us like a month to post a new blogpost. It has been a while since we got SALT mailed, but we did something different this time. We had to get a postal permit. Although it saved us money, it was a real pain in the neck. Here are some pics.
Getting ready for everything. Not to mention kind of messy.
Let's go!
Left to right: Kathleen, Bridget, and me.
Sorry about the lighting. Left to right: person in the purple shirt is Shannon, Keenan, me, Dad and Mom. If you look at the clock closely, you can tell what time it is. Take note that it is a.m. not p.m.
Same people in the same places, except the lighting is better.
Trust us?
Maybe you'll find a footprint on your envelope. :)
Still trust us?
After spreading all of the stuffed envelopes on the floor and after Meghan and Keenan sort them the way we were suppose to, we placed them in sacs. Don't worry. We got the magazines mailed. I bet you already knew that. :) Well, that's the end of this blogpost. Hopefully, we'll get another one posted up soon, but I'm not promising anything! May God bless you and your family. Heather
Samantha...
Submitted by admin on Mon, 07/19/2010 - 22:09Hi everyone!sorry for the long delay. Things have been happening and the blog was pretty much forgotten! Well, the biggest event is that I am a Aunt once again. Samantha Grace McDermott was born on 6/17/10 weighing 6lb and 6 ounces. Healthy birthing and delivery thank God. Here's a couple of pics-
Look at that smile...
Sticking her tounge out at the camera
She changed allot in two weeks, and look at those eyes!
Grandma (commonly known as 'Cindy' or 'Mom'), holding baby Samantha and Aunt MollyFor other news, Meghan turned twenty in June.
Yep, a big two decades. We went to the beach on her birthday. I was deemed by my brother as a bandit because of my red mask I attained from the trip. I blame it on Meghan. One last picture to sign off-
This is Keenan (#7 or the middle child) signing off.Have a good day and God bless.
Mother's Day
Submitted by admin on Wed, 06/23/2010 - 16:14Hi, I'm Kathleen the sixth child of the McDermott's. We're sorry it took so long to make the next blog post. Mother's Day!
We made a giant Hershey's kiss for Mom on Mothers Day on the 9th of May.

Molly's First Bite
Submitted by admin on Sat, 05/22/2010 - 22:24Hi, blog readers. It's Heather again. As the title says, Molly has had her first taste of baby cereal! At first, it seemed as though she liked it, but the next day Molly wanted to be done early. The next day, when Shannon tried to feed her, Molly cried. Dad then said he couldn't blame Molly for disliking the cereal, so Dad told us to feed her applesauce. She liked that. Then Mom told us to mix some cereal with the applesauce, and Molly has been eating that since. Here's some pics of Molly of her first eating.
Mom getting Molly ready for her feeding.
Mollys first taste.
And Mollys reaction.
I will help you, Mommy.
Molly has always liked sucking on things.
Molly and Keenan sharing.
On a Sunday, Mom and Keenan made homemade pretzels.
The next step.
Then you stick them in the oven.
Miss Cool.
Nice glasses, Molly.Yesterday Keenan, me, and Meghan were on the roof cleaning the gutters. While on the roof, Meghan had fun taking pictures. Here they are:
Left to right: Keenan and Meghan. Meghan is holding the camera.
That is Keenan in the picture. On the right in the corner, you can see Keenans shadow.
Me and Keenan. We are still on the roof.
A perfect place to grow trees.
We decided it was for the the best to uproot those trees.
Josiah looking out through one window ...
... and Isaac through another.
Kathleen took this picture.
I am supposedly sitting in Keenans hand. Meghan had a lot of fun taking these kind of pictures. Me and Keenan were still on the roof. Me at the top; Keenan near the bottom.
Heather and the little people.I will end the blogpost here.We are doing Isaac's fourth birthday on Monday, so that'll be fun for Isaac. The next time I (or someone in this family) will post pictures of Isaac's birthday and Mother's Day.May God bless you and your family always. Heather
Molly Announces the Arrival of ChristianFamilyMeetingPlace.com
Submitted by admin on Mon, 05/03/2010 - 18:27April Update 2
Submitted by admin on Mon, 04/26/2010 - 15:09I'm back! Keenan here again, I though I'd post on the last major thing that has happened so far. But first Molly's been sitting up, and getting increasingly better.
At first it was quite a shock...
but she soon found it hilarious. But as I said, I was here to talk about the last major thing. What? You don't know what it is? Easter! The day began with everyone getting up late, but me and Heather who spent the beginning of our day making a cross out of crepe paper, tape, and flowers from the bush outside.
Mom and me made blueberry pies shortly after we completed this.
Dad worked on Easter, but luckily it was odd hours (for us that is). Dad ended up getting home by four, so we waited for dinner and the easter hunt. But Dad doesn't care for dyeing the eggs, so we did them while he was gone.
Unfortunately some of the most interesting ones were left out of the picture. But, oh well.We also made the nests:
we made I think 27, though only some were put out on easter. There was one on each plate.
Then Dad came home. After a delicious meal the easter baskets were made.
Usually we don't have plastic eggs, I don't know why it happened this year.
the complete picture.
waiting on the deck for the others to finish finding their baskets.
Meghan got another good camera view. The light pouring through the flower bush looks great. After this we went inside and did devotions. We read on the rising of Jesus (we had read of his death the day before) and sang easter songs. Like "I kow my Redeemer lives" and "Christ the Lord is Risen today" and a few others. All in all a delightful time,"Don't be alarmed," he said. "You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him." (Mark 16:6)"He is risen!" such simple, sweet, blessed words. Till later and God Bless-Keenan
April Update
Submitted by admin on Fri, 04/23/2010 - 12:39Hi blog followers!Keenan here. Yeah I know its been a while. I'm giving Heather her break. In this post I'm going to post pictures on the April Birthdays (Bridget, Kelly, and Josiah). Also some odds and end pictures [how can we do a blog post without Molly?:)] So here we go, Molly first:
Molly, packer fan from birth.
Meghan working on SALT, me and Heather were providing the company.Okay, on with the April Birthdays. Seeing that their all in a row (April 4,5, and 6) they decided to do it all together. So instead of having three seperate birthdays, they get one day but with one privilage. Chuckee Cheese.
From Left to right: Bridget, William, Kelly, and Josiah.
Isaac galloping on his noble steed.
Bridget and Kelly racing together.
Even Molly made her rounds.
Next came their presents.
From Right to left: Josiah, Kelly, and Bridget. Oh and Heather who snuck her head between Bridget and Kelly. And last, but not least, the cakes. Seeing as Mom always makes a cake for the birthday person, Mom made three cakes. A chocolate cake as Bridget desired, a dirt cake as Kelly desired, and a peanut butter cake as Josiah desired.
Yes, Mom even decorated them. Lets take a closer look...
Meghan's always had a knack for interesting views. this is Josiah's volcano cake, lighted only by his candels.Well, thats it. Hopefully I'll post within the next few days, but this post is long enough. Till later and God BlessKeenan
Stuff
Submitted by admin on Fri, 04/02/2010 - 19:39Hi, y'all. It's Heather once again. Now that the introduction of myself is done, we will continue. ChristainFamilyMeetingPlace.com has been in progress, though I don't know how long until it will be up. I will probably make a short blog post when it's finally up.The SALT "Crunch" is here. Dad has found some articles, and Meghan has been working on the website and SALT Magazine. We also had some sort of virus, I think, on the computer. Meghan called Michael, and through Meghan, Michael solved the problem. It's nice having a computer geek as a brother. :)Moving on. Here's some pictrues.
Molly placed one hand over the other as she slept.
Another one. Meghan is holding Molly.
She looks so adorable.
It looks kinda blurry, but it still is a nice picture.
Kelly trying to pull Kathleen off of the floor. Meghan watches on while she holds Molly.
Kelly making a little more progress.
Kelly told Meghan to hold her. Meghan grabbed Kellys hand, doing as Kelly requested. Not quite what Kelly meant, which is why Meghan is smiling.
Molly having plates for dinner.
For those who are concerned, Molly did not eat the whole plate. We celebrated Mom's birthday on Monday. Mom is now ... 29! Well, not really. It's an ongoing joke in our house. I think Mom stopped aging at 29. One time a little sibling said, "Mom isn't really 29. She's 32, isn't she?" This was only a couple of years ago.
Mom getting her present out of a red bag. Left to right: Mom, Isaac (the blond haired one), Josiah, Bridget, and Molly.
Left to right: Kelly, Mom, Josiah and Dad. The pink tulips in the background were in the red bag in the previous picture.
Left to right: me, Isaac, Kelly, Mom, Josiah, Dad, Bridget, and Molly.
Left to right: Kathleen, Shannon, me, Isaac, Kelly, Mom, Josiah, Dad, Bridget, Molly, and Keenan. William went in the other room momentarily while this picture was taken. Obviously, Meghan took this one.
Me and William lighting Moms cake. Left to right: William, Josiah, Kelly and me.
A good picture of Mom with her birthday cake.Happy birthday, Mom!Sorry about it being late again. The SALT "Crunch" only makes it harder to get on, and then came the virus. But I still could've done it earlier. Here we end the blogpost. May God bless you and your family always. Heather
Sorry it's late
Submitted by admin on Fri, 03/19/2010 - 20:19Yes, it's me again. Heather. Actually, Meghan might've done it if she didn't come down with bronchitis. Some people have been coughing lately, but no one acts as sick as Meghan does. We have a small workshop in our backyard. The front has a roof over a pavement. When the roof began to sag dangerously, we tore it down. So here's some pictures taken after we pulled it down.
A picture taken in the distance.
Originally, Dad had torn it down and Keenan is dragging away the boards.
Mom and Molly sleeping together after a feeding.New subject. We celebrated Kathleen's 17th birthday Monday, even though her real birthday is in February. Why? Because Dad and Mom weren't off on Kathleen's birthday, and so we picked a day that they were both off. Nobody's birthday is ever done on time. So here's some pics on Kathleen's birthday.
Mom and Dad took just Kathleen out for coffee on her birthday.
Mom making Kathleen's birthday cake
The finished result. It is a spaghetti cake.
Molly in a Winnie the Pooh party hat. (Keenan is holding her).
Kathleen with her birthday cake.Happy birthday, Kathleen! Well, that's the end of them. Of the pictures, that is. And yesterday was St. Patrick's Day. We usually don't do anything special for St. Patrick's Day, with the exception that maybe a sibling or two will make something special. :) Hopefully, we'll get the next blog post up sooner. May God bless you and your family always.
Here's some more
Submitted by admin on Thu, 03/04/2010 - 17:53Hey, everybody. It's me again, Heather. I know, I know. I've been doing this the last three posts but, hopefully, Meghan will do the next one. Blogging is still new to us even though we've had it for, I don't know, a certain amount of months. Some people do blog every day or a couple of days in between. I can't imagine us doing that. Maybe it'll be once a week. Anyhow ... New subject! I don't know if we've said this before so here we go: Michael and Steph, my brother and sister-in-law, are expecting their third child in June! At each of the three ultrasounds, the doctors have confirmed that it is a girl. My first niece! The name, we believe, Michael and Steph have picked is Samantha Grace. But there is something else interesting about this: That's how Mom and Dad started. Two boys, one girl, then another girl, then a boy, then five girls in a row, then two boys, then a girl. It's not very likely that will happen to Michael and Steph, but it's interesting. : ) Now for some pictures ..
We did something special the day after Valentines Day. At the beginning of the day, Mom and Dad went out. Then at snack we had something special.
Meghan and her pictures. She seems to enjoy doing things like this.
And here is another one.
Left to righ: Isaac, me, Keenan, Shannon, William, Kathleen, Josiah, Kelly, Bridget, and Dad.
Got you, Meghan. Left to right: Isaac, Meghan, Keenan, Shannon disappeared, William, Kathleen, Josiah, Kelly, Bridget and Dad.
Ever since Mom started to work again, Molly had to get use to the bottle.
Molly and her princess hat. Kelly is grinning in the background.
Flip it around and you get this.
Mom really likes dark chocolate. Molly might have inherited that. In fact, all of us might have.
The two youngest are watching intently at the TV. It was still on main menu. And once again we've reached the end of our pictures. That's all for now, folks! May God bless you and your family always. Heather
