When should women be required to wear a head covering
This is my first time on this site. I didn't get to vote, but I'm definitely part of the 10% I shake my head at the how the truth is so misinterpreted.
women's headcoverings
I don't think that a woman should be required to wear a covering unless her husband or in the case of an young woman-her father-wants her to wear one. We have freedom in Christ to live in this world in a manner worthy of His calling. While we should always dress modestly, we should not be bound with rules and regulations as some churches believe. Christ did not come to the earth to enslave us with more rules. My husband wants me to wear one, so I do. I wear a headband during the week, and a fuller covering at church. I find it something that honors my husband, and therefore honors Christ. I do not think it is wrong, however, not to wear a covering if that is not something that your husband wants you to do, and you are not convicted to do so.
Our first allegiance to
Our first allegiance to Christ, in covering we show we are subjecting ourselves to GOD'S order of headship.
Reason
I'm curious the reason why your husband wants you to wear a head covering. I don't think it is wrong, either, just wondering his reason. Thanks.
